The word, ‘buo’ means ‘whole’ in Tagalog — which is founder Jamie Ignacio’s native language. Founded on the principle that true beauty lies in feeling whole and confident in your own skin, Buo is a line of thoughtfully designed jewelry essentials based in Vancouver, Canada.
As a designer, I was over the moon because the word holds so much potential for visual storytelling. Each letter in the custom logotype is shaped from a whole circle as a nod to both the concept of wholeness and the jewelry’s pure forms.
